Threshold ministries

In 2001, God gave me a vision to start a church in San Marcos, CA. We asked five couples to join me on this new ministry and a few months before holding our first service there were about 40 people in the core group.

On January 6^th, 2002, we started our first service in the Community Center in San Marcos. A couple years later we leased a permanent location in a warehouse. God continued to move and people started coming to church in droves. We were amazed at how quickly you could fill up one service so we kept adding more services to accommodate all the people.

As of right now, we are literally busting at the seams at our current location and have been praying about where or when we could find a permanent church home that has expansion capabilities as well as ownership options. God has put it on my heart to do everything we can to secure a church property that he brought to my attention right here in the city about a mile away from our current facility. (see pictures below)

This new property, with the adjacent land, will allow us to save an incredible amount of money each month that will allow the vision God has given me to reach all of San Diego with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The monies freed up will allow us to do more ministry within the city, raise up godly families, add a youth and children’s pastor to shepherd our kids, and reach more and more people for Jesus.

The facility we are in has been good for us as we have grown to about 1500 people that love God. However, we have taken it to its limit and now are praying that God would allow us to not only move into our own church home but also build on the land as we expand our reach in the city of San Marcos.

Why Move?  Seven Reasons:

1. OWNERSHIP: We will have an opportunity to OWN and not RENT.  As of right now, our landlord increases our rent 3% every year. Also, any improvement we do does not benefit us long-term.
