D3 Class PDF Print E-mail

After two and a half years of teaching our S1 (Solidified) Class and taking 500 folks through ways to more effectively study the word and pray, two years of launching sermon-based lifeGroups and seeing 600 people in connectionGroups and lifeGroups, and a year and a half of taking 200 folks from our lifeGroups through the U2 (Unified) Class to share with them the vision of being unified as a church who serves together and glorifies God, we are now launching the first ever D3 (Diversified) Class.  This has been a class that has been a class that we have been highly anticipating, yet waiting for God's direction for it as we seek to equip the church for the work of the ministry.

Over the past couple months, God has given us a great clarity of vision as we sough Him on how to take His church here at theMovement and the faithful disciples that make up the heartbeat of our church to the next, deeper level of their life as a disciple.  The amazing part about this class is that it is not just a class.  This will be an ongoing journey of discipleship that those who attend will embark on with a faithful group of others within the church family here as we seek together the life of a core, committed disciple of Jesus Christ.

This class is offered for the members of this local church at theMovement.  Folks that have been faithfully committed to relationships and accountability through their lifeGroup, have taken our S1 and U2 Classes and committing to our values as a unified church, and are faithfully serving their fellow brothers and sisters within the church.  If you are that person, at this point in your walk with the Lord and involvement within the body you understand the value of taking your faith seriously, being involved within community, and glorifying God through, among many other things, serving within the body of Christ.  You have become the heartbeat of one of God’s churches here on earth, and you want more.  More depth, more passion, more solidarity, more accountability, more challenge, more unity, more glory for the Lord.  You want to live an abandoned life for Christ and, as Paul put it, “pour my life out as a drink offering.”

This class is designed for the folks at theMovement that have put their hand to the plow and made themselves available to the church.  Now, more than ever, the church will be coming alongside you.

In this D3 Class, our aim is no different than the value in our purpose statement itself: release diversified disciples to impact the world.  We want to take you to the next level of your involvement in the body of Christ, grow in your personal ministry, and see this unique plan that God has for you unfold as you glorify God in the world around you.

Here are some of the specific things we are going to look at in the Class itself:

Part 1:

  • Defining the church and the purpose of the church biblically.
  • Defining the structure of the church according to what we know from scriptures.
  • Your next step in partnering with the work of God through His church.
  • Spiritual disciplines that we as a core group of committed disciples are going to commit to together.
  • A covenant to hold us accountable to these deeper spiritual disciplines.

 Part 2:

  • The varying gifts that God graces us with to walk in.
  • A personal look at our own lives to help us seek how we can be a gift to the church and reflect God's glory.

Part 3:

  • Future plan of discipleship in our church
  • Varying ongoing benefits of being involved in D3

We are excited to go on this journey with you.  If you are interested in enrolling in this class, visit the D3 Booth in theCourtyard on Sunday.  For further questions, contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

D3: FAQ

Who is required to go to D3?
If you are currently overseeing a ministry or leading a lifeGroup, we ask that you would join us in this ongoing process of discipleship and accountable community with one another.  That said, in the future, D3 won't be a requirement for leading a ministry or lifeGroup, but we will ask those particular leaders to commit to going through the class with us in the future.

Additionally, any potential Deacons or Elders within the church (those who oversee and manage large areas of the ministry) will be required to commit to D3 beforehand, as a part of their commitment to the overall church.

Will there be a make-up class like the others?  No, there will not be.  This class is unique from the others in that it is based on community, relationship, and accountability, not just education.  If you can't make it out to the class, you can wait until next time it comes around.  This class is really an intro into a a longer term relationship of committment and accountability among the folks that have become the heart beat of the church.

I can't make it out to one of the Monday nights, is that okay?  This will be a case by case scenario, so come and talk to us about it so we can help you figure out what to do next.
