your next step... PDF Print E-mail

Hello everyone, this is Pastor Jobey, and I’d like to help you find out what your next step in your faith and involvement in our church is. I realize that getting involved in anything new, be it school, work, sports teams, or neighborhoods, can be intimidating and oftentimes confusing. Here at theMovement,it is our heart to minimize that and make it as easy as possible to help you grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ and your relationship to his body through this church.

blenderOftentimes, trying to get plugged in with a church and with the people in it is like making a ham sandwich, but simply just using a blender. All the ingredients are just thrown in, and even though all the nutrition is there (teaching, worship, bible studies, events, etc.), it is often left up to you to figure it out (“Was that a piece of ham or a piece of cheese I just ate?”). In the end, it usually doesn’t taste amazing.

So here at theMovement, we feel that the Great Sandwich Artist in the Sky (*not a Subway endorsement) has given us an easy “1, 2, 3” way to help you take your next steps in your relationship with God and His people and to create a healthy, balanced, and tasty ham sandwich, enjoyable for all those who wish to partake (veggie burgers available upon request).

These three basic steps follow our three Core Values of the church (Solidified in Christ (S1), Unified with His Body (U2), and Diversified for the World (D3)), and each step has a corresponding class that we offer to help you further walk out that value in your own life. In the end, we hope that we are able to give you tools to help you solidify your personal relationship with God, develop meaningful and lifelong friendships that unify His body, and equip you to reach out to the world around you with the diverse gifts He has entrusted you.
